The Related Group purchased the Truffles Tribeca building, which is now called 450 Washington, and invested hundreds of millions of dollars to renovate the building and create 176 bigger units. Over 85,000 square feet of Thermocromex in a custom color was direct applied to the existing pre‐cast concrete, transforming the exteriors design aesthetics to reflect the buildings rebranding. Other selection factors for using Thermocromex, other than cost savings, included never having to be recolored for the life of the building superior performance over other exterior claddings, along with being unaffected by salt air.
